Question 1

What is Steers known for?

Accepted Answer

Steers is South Africa’s home of flame-grilled burgers, hand-cut chips, and bold flavour. For over 60 years, we’ve been perfecting our craft using 100% pure beef patties cooked over an open flame. Our menu also includes flame-grilled chicken, ribs, famous hand cut chips, ridiculously thick shakes, and soft-serve ice cream.

Question 2

Are Steers burgers made with real beef?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every Steers beef burger is made with 100% pure ground beef, no fillers,
no compromises. Our patties are flame-grilled in-store, never microwaved, so
you get that signature smoky flavour with every bite.

Question 3

Does Steers have vegetarian or plant-based options?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Steers offers vegan friendly options, choose to feast on a Veggie
Burger or treat yourself to a quick bite of our Veggie Nuggets. The Veggie Burger is made with a 100% plant-based soy patty and is a popular choice for vegetarians and anyone looking for a lighter option. We also offer garden salads, hand-cut chips, and other sides that suit a meat-free meal.

Question 4

What are Steers’ most popular menu items?

Accepted Answer

Our best-sellers include the Original King Steer Burger, crowned South Africa’s best burger for 20 years running, alongside the Classic Bacon & Cheese Burger, flame-grilled Ribs, and our legendary hand-cut chips. And no visit is complete without our Ridiculously Thick Shakes, a fan-favourite indulgence.

Question 5

Does Steers offer budget-friendly meals?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Phanda range delivers bold flame-grilled taste, quick easy bite at
affordable prices. Steers also run regular promotions, app-exclusive deals, and
our iconic Wacky Wednesday, making sure everyone can enjoy Steers without
compromise.

Question 6

What is Wacky Wednesday at Steers?

Accepted Answer

Wacky Wednesday is our weekly special available every Wednesday, offering 2
Original Burgers for R69.90, every Wednesday. That’s double the flame, and
flavour. It’s one of South Africa’s best-known fast-food promotions. Check the
Steers app or your nearest store for the latest Wacky Wednesday deal.

Question 7

Can I order Steers online for delivery?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can order through the Steers app, or via delivery partners such as Mr D Food and Uber Eats. Simply enter your location to find your nearest Steers and browse the full menu. Online orders also unlock exclusive app-only deals and combos.

Question 8

Does Steers have a drive-through?

Accepted Answer

Many Steers locations offer drive-through service for quick, convenient ordering without leaving your car. Availability varies by location, so check with your nearest Steers to confirm.

Question 9

Can I customise my Steers burger?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we’re happy to accommodate your preferences. You can request extras like additional cheese or bacon or ask for items to be removed such as onions or sauce. Simply let our team know when you order.

Question 10

Does Steers offer meals for groups or families?

Accepted Answer

We do. Stees offer Sharing Meals and Family Feast combos that include a range of flame grilled burgers, chicken, ribs and chips everything you need for a group meal in one convenient order.

Question 11

Is Steers halaal?

Accepted Answer

Selected Steers restaurants are halal-certified and clearly labelled. At halaal
stores, macon (a beef-based alternative) is used in place of bacon. Please
confirm halal certification with your nearest Steers location before ordering.

Question 12

Does Steers cater for food allergies?

Accepted Answer

We take allergens seriously. While we provide allergen information for our menu items, please note that our kitchens handle a variety of ingredients, and crosscontamination may occur. If you have a specific allergy, we recommend speaking to the team at your local Steers before placing your order. Nutritional and allergens guides are available on the steers website;
https://steers.co.za/nutritional-guide/

Question 13

Is there a gluten-free menu at Steers?

Accepted Answer

Currently, Steers does not have a dedicated gluten-free menu. Due to shared
preparation areas, cross-contamination with gluten-containing ingredients is
possible. We encourage customers with coeliac disease or gluten sensitivities to consult in-store before ordering.

Question 14

Does Steers serve pork?

Accepted Answer

No, pork is not part of the Steers menu. Our ribs are beef-based, and halalcertified locations use macon instead of bacon.

Question 15

How do I find my nearest Steers?

Accepted Answer

You can use the store locator on steers.co.za or the Steers app to find the closest location to you. We have 689 restaurants across South Africa and 12 countries, including locations in shopping centres, fuel stations, stand-alone sites.

Question 16

What are Steers’ trading hours?

Accepted Answer

Trading hours vary by location and may differ on weekends, public holidays, and during special events. For the most accurate hours, please check the specific store listing on our website, app, or Google Maps.

Question 17

along major routes offer the same flame-grilled quality you expect from
Steers, with both takeaway and sit-down options available. Menus may vary
slightly at these locations.
